Ukraine has already received 1.3 billion dollars of additional emergency financing from the International Monetary Fund. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this in Telegram , Ukrinform reports. “USD 1.3 billion of additional emergency financing from the International Monetary Fund has arrived in Ukraine. The funds will be used to finance priority needs: strengthening defense capabilities, paying pensions, social programs and supporting the economy,” the head of government said. According to him, in total, the IMF provided our country with 2.7 billion dollars since the beginning of the full-scale war. Also, in the near future, the authorities and the IMF will start preparing a new special program, which will become operational next year. “We thank our partners and allies for their steadfast support,” the Prime Minister emphasized. He also noted that he discussed with the head of the IMF the need to create a permanent working group that would deal with issues of financial support to Ukraine and work promptly at the levels of international donors and countries participating in this assistance.
